Chai is an Indian spiced tea, traditionally made by simmering together spices, tea, milk and sweetener. The recipes vary greatly, from region to region and family to family.
Chai is pronounced “ch-eye” and simply means ”tea” throughout India and many other countries. The Chai that is common to the U.S. is technically known as masala chai in India, literally "spice tea"
Chico Chai is one recipe that has quickly become the favorite of many tea-drinkers in the area. The flavor is fresh and spicy, rich in ginger, cardamom and nutmeg while lightly sweet, with a hint of vanilla. Chico Chai is brewed slowly by brewmistress Sarah, using freshly ground organic spices and fair trade, organic black tea.
Chico Chai strives for sustainability, from strictly using all organic ingredients and fair trade tea, providing an fresh, local product, utilizing reclyclable packaging, to composting all it's spent spices and tea.
NUTRITIONAL FACTS!!
(you asked for 'em, we got 'em! :)
Please note that, as an industry standard, these facts just include the 4 oz of chai in an 8 oz glass, not the milk. Due to the wide variety of milks and un-milks out there, it's too hard to predict what will be used. Check the panel on your favorite kind of milk and put them together to find out the total calories, etc. Thanks!
These facts are correspond to Chico Chai concentrate, not the loose-leaf chai, of course.

Contains 24.3mg caffeine/4 oz serving
